Burning an ISO Image under Linux

To create or burn your ISO image file to CD or DVD on Linux, follow these small steps :

1. Insert a blank CD or DVD disc.
2. Open a folder where ISO image file was placed with Nautilus File Manager.
3. Right click an ISO image file, then choose "Write to Disc..." option.
4. At "Write to Disc" window, choose "Write speed" to minimum speed, notto maximum possible. With minimum speed burning, your disc can read in every CD Drive.
5. Click "Write" button and wait until "Writing CD" bar on "Writing Imageto Disc" window complete (full filled).
6. Burning was supposed complete, if CD or DVD disc eject automatically.
7. If you want to make another copy, click "Make Another Copy" button, butif not, click "Close" button.

If you want to make an ISO image file, you can use k3b application. Nautilus can't be use to make it. See another article to install k3b on your Linux. by.msmunir@batan.go.id
