Using Fedora 9, adding packets

To use Fedora 9, it's better to add some packets or application. May be these packets usefull for next time.
Packet you should add to your Fedora 9 such as :

1. Update system. To update system, can use menu on Top Panel. Click menu System -> Administration -> Update System. May be this process take more time because fof full update need download around 1 GB (more than 100 packets). If you don't need connect to Internet, it's not necessary to update the system.

2. mc (midnite commander), is file manager base on text mode. It's very usefull to manage remote host. It can be use as FTP client too. 3. Plugins for your web browser, such as Mozilla Firefox

3. The plugins that you need are Adobe Flash Player and Java. If you update system, Adobe Flash Player plugins automatically installed. To install java or JRE plugins, you can see other article in this site. by. msmunir@batan.go.id
